131st Annual German-American Folk Festival
The Plattduetsche Volkfest Vereen of New York and New Jersey
proudly presents the region's longest running continuously held festival celebrating German heritage and the contributions of Germans to the building of the United States.

Come see "Die Sandler" perform under the Big Tent -- Rain or Shine
The PVV's own "D'HeimatsGruppe" schuhplatters dance for our guests on Saturday and Erste Gottscheer Tanzgruppe on Sunday. Peter Vogel and Eddie Z keep the music and our adrenaline playing in the Senator lounge.

Thousands are expected to attend under sunny skies which will feature beers from Lowenbrau and other german brewers. Volunteers will serve traditional festival foods from the 'wursts', leberkase, and german regional fish specialties to spectacular potato pancakes and sweet desserts.

Did anybody say "Schnapps"? Stop by the (appropriately named) "Schnapps Booth" for the tastes of some of the worlds best apple, corn, and herbal shots.

2005 brings expanded entertainment and games for children of all ages with a full German marketplace in the Casino. Clowns and a petting zoo are found on the grounds. Staying late??? The Senator Lounge of Shuetzen Park will keep the party going long after the tent shuts down.

Little Miss Schuetzen Park
2005's competition is for the opportunity to ride in this year's Steuben Parade float, sponsored by Thumanns.
Parents of girls wishing to enter the competition should seek requirements and information from the organizers at "
pageant@volksfest.org"

The "Shuetzen Koenig"

Who's the best shot??? NY Schuetzen Corp organizes the shooting competition at the range located inside the Senator Lounge. Try your 'expert' skill to become the Volksfest "Shuetzen Koenig".
